Dr. Faheem holds multiple doctoral degrees and advanced qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transportation Systems, and Human Resource Management and law. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of domains including transportation engineering, construction law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and ISO-based quality assurance systems. He is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, and a professionally empaneled arbitrator and mediator with prominent arbitration councils in India. As a technical advisor and consultant, he offers expertise in quality management, project execution, and contract administration to infrastructure firms and legal entities.

He is a driving force behind the implementation of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG-4 (Quality Education), SDG-9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG-11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Under his leadership, institutional frameworks have been transformed to embed multidisciplinary learning, outcome-based education, digital pedagogy, and sustainability across curricula. He has actively promoted interdisciplinary research and curricular development in emerging areas such as GIS applications, smart mobility, sustainable infrastructure, and green construction practices.

As Vice Chancellor of a fully virtual university, Dr. Faheem has effectively addressed the inherent challenges of online education including infrastructure robustness, student engagement, academic rigor, and digital equity. His strategic vision for NextGen International Chartered Inc. includes the development of an AI-driven digital learning ecosystem, comprehensive faculty development programs, and dynamic, learner-centric academic models. He advocates for global academic collaborations, industry-aligned learning experiences, and strong alumni networks to foster practical skill development and lifelong learning. Institutional priorities under his leadership include benchmarking, accreditation, multilingual content delivery, and mobile-friendly platforms to enhance accessibility and inclusivity.

Dr. Faheem is a prolific researcher with a significant body of scholarly contributions. His academic output includes 85 international and 3 national journal publications, 13 international and 4 national conference presentations, and 12 edited books with international publishers. He has successfully supervised 4+ Post-Doctoral and Doctoral theses and additional 5+ Post-Doctoral and Doctoral candidates are currently under guidance. Additionally, he has guided 68 PG-Engineering dissertations and numerous UG-Engineering projects. His research interests lie in Transportation Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Human Resources Management, Contract Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution mechanisms related to construction disputes. He is deeply involved in the implementation of ISO standards such as 9001 (QMS), 21001 (EOMS), and 39001 (RTS), and their applications in QA/QC and project quality planning. His recent focus includes leveraging technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, blockchain, data science, deep learning, cybersecurity, and robotics in construction project management and education delivery.

Dr. Faheem holds esteemed fellow memberships in The Institution of Engineers (India) and The Indian Institute of Technical Arbitrators and Senior Professional Member, The Engineering Council of India (ECI). He is an Academic Expert Member on the Civil Engineering Department Advisory Committee at Symbiosis International (Deemed to be University), Pune, and serves as a Governing Body Member of the Indian Institution of Technical Arbitrators – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Centers, India. His contributions to academic governance are widely respected, particularly in advisory, curricular, and evaluative capacities.

Prof. Dr. Mir Iqbal Faheem has been widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to higher education, research, and engineering practice. He is the recipient of the Gold Medal and First Rank in M.Tech (Transportation Engineering) from JNTU-Hyderabad, highlighting his early academic excellence. For his editorial leadership, he was honored with the Excellence Award by the International Journal of Engineering Research in Industrial Applications (IJERIA), Pune. His impactful research in sustainable infrastructure and engineering education earned him the Research Excellence Award from the Prof. KPR Foundation, Hyderabad. In recognition of his commitment to pedagogy, he received an Award for Excellence in Teaching for his exceptional mentoring at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has served as a Member of the Board of Studies and Board of Examiners in Civil Engineering at Osmania University, Hyderabad, and continues to evaluate doctoral work as a Ph.D. Viva Voce Examiner and Thesis Adjudicator for institutions including Pacific University.
